As the 250th anniversary of the United States approaches, Thomasville is preparing to mark the occasion in a manner consistent with its character and values — and with genuine enthusiasm across the community.
What began as a local tradition has become a regional gathering of veterans, families, and citizens, centered around solemn ceremonies, a historic parade, and events that highlight both the cost of war and the strength of community. With its close ties to the North Carolina Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Thomasville offers more than a celebration—it offers a place of meaning.
Organizers invite the public to come out to Downtown Thomasville on Monday, May 30th at 9:00am the our annual Memorial Day Parade. The parade will start at The Big Chair and go down Salem Street towards Memorial Park Dr. This event is hosted by the NC Memorial Day Parade Committee. The Grand Marshal for this year is Lt. Governor Mark Robinson.
