THB Bagelry & Deli to Open First Franchise in Thomasville, North Carolina
THOMASVILLE, N.C. – October 8, 2026 – THB Bagelry & Deli will celebrate a major milestone on Monday, October 12, with the opening of its first franchise and first restaurant outside Maryland. The new Thomasville restaurant is located at 1605 Liberty Drive, at the corner of Liberty Drive and Kennedy Road.
The approximately 4,000-square-foot restaurant will seat about 100 guests and bring THB favorites to North Carolina, including fresh New York-style bagels boiled and baked onsite, hand-cracked eggs, made-to-order breakfast and lunch sandwiches, deli favorites, coffee and more.

Behind the new restaurant are brothers Raffaele and Luigi “Gino” Di Puorto, whose family has served the Thomasville community for more than 40 years through Elizabeth Pizza & Restaurant. The brothers grew up working in their father’s restaurant, which later expanded to Denton and Lexington. Most recently, the family opened Maki of Japan in the Liberty Drive plaza in June 2026.
“Thomasville has supported our family for more than 40 years. My brother and I grew up in our dad’s restaurant, so bringing THB here feels personal,” said Raffaele Di Puorto. “We’re excited to make everything fresh, get to know our guests and create more employment opportunities in the community.”
THB’s connection to the Di Puorto family goes back years. The Scotto and Di Meo families, who own THB Bagelry & Deli, are longtime family friends of the Di Puortos, with all three families tracing their roots to the same hometown in Italy. That longstanding relationship made THB a natural fit for the Di Puortos as they bring the brand’s first franchise location to Thomasville.

9–10 a.m. Guests age 18 and older may enter for a chance to win THB for a Year. Three winners will each receive 52 free bagels with cream cheese through a myTHB Rewards account.
10 a.m. Grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting.
10–10:30 a.m. THB for a Year winners will be drawn and must be present to win.
First 50 guests Receive THB swag, while supplies last.
Throughout the day Guests can enjoy a DJ, magician, giveaways and other grand opening activities.
