Tips for Attending the Lexington Book Festival on March 21st
The Lexington Book Festival will feature authors in panel discussions along with storytimes designed especially for young readers.
Children’s authors will host storytimes where they read their books aloud. Panel discussions, however, are conversations rather than readings. These sessions offer insight into the writing process and what inspired authors to shape their stories the way they did.
If you’ve read the books, come prepared with questions. This is your chance to ask authors directly about characters, plot twists, or even that ending you loved—or didn’t.
Even if you haven’t read the books, the panels are a great way to get a preview. You might discover your next favorite read. Most discussions will be spoiler-free.
Plan Your Day
Review the schedule ahead of time and map out which sessions and signings you want to attend. Be sure to leave time to explore vendors and enjoy Uptown Lexington.
Seating is limited, and rooms cannot exceed capacity. For popular sessions, plan to arrive early as lines may form.
Panel discussions begin on the hour, last 45 minutes, and are followed by 15-minute breaks. Plan to be seated a few minutes before each session begins.

All events will take place at Arts Davidson, located at 202 N. Main Street in Lexington. Look for Lexington Book Festival flags at each entrance.
