Holly Hill Memorial Park to Host Celebration Honoring Davidson County First Responders

Davidson County’s first responders will once again be recognized and celebrated through a community-centered event led by Eric and Megan Anderson of Holly Hill Memorial Park.

The 3rd Annual Holly Hill Cares Celebration of First Responders will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Secret Meadows at Green Dell Farm in Thomasville, North Carolina. It is planned as an evening event.

The Celebration of First Responders is designed to honor the men and women who serve on the front lines each day, often without recognition, while carrying the responsibility of protecting and caring for the community.

“This event is especially meaningful to us, as it is centered on honoring the men and women who serve our community every day,” Eric and Megan Anderson shared.

For the Andersons, the event is rooted in both personal conviction and community awareness. Through their work at Holly Hill Memorial Park, they have witnessed the lasting impact first responders have on families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

“We believe there is a strong local story to tell not only about the event itself, but also about why we felt called to create and support something like this for Davidson County’s first responders and their families,” they said.

Rather than focusing solely on ceremony, the event aims to create space for appreciation, connection and reflection. It recognizes both the visible and unseen sacrifices made by first responders and extends that recognition to their families, who share in the demands of the job.

Community support continues to play a key role in making the event possible each year. Local partnerships, volunteers and supporters all contribute to ensuring the celebration remains a meaningful experience for those it honors.

“We would be honored to share more about the event, the heart behind it and the community support that helps make it possible each year,” the Andersons said.

As Davidson County continues to grow, events like the Celebration of First Responders serve as a reminder of the people who remain constant in their service. Through this effort, Eric and Megan Anderson are helping ensure those contributions are acknowledged with intention and respect.
