EnergyUnited is now accepting applications for the 2024 Electric Cooperative Youth Tour program. LEXINGTON, NC – Lexington Police Officers attempted a vehicle stop on a U-Haul box truck on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 4:51 pm on South Main Street at Fowler Avenue. The purpose of the stop was that the driver of the vehicle, Jonathan Dillon, age 31, had outstanding felony warrants. Dillon failed to stop for officers and led them on a pursuit, which lasted 24 miles.
Out of concern for the health and well-being of the community as respiratory viruses become more prevalent, Novant Health is implementing temporary visitor restrictions. Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 7 a.m., children under age 13 are asked not to visit Novant Health hospitals in an effort to reduce the spread of respiratory viruses.
