Faith and Fellowship: There Is Freedom

When we think of July Fourth, we usually think of cookouts, fireworks, celebrating and spending time with friends and family. We should also take the time to celebrate all the freedoms we are given.
I pray that your spiritual celebration on the 4th of July will mirror what we have been taught in
1st Peter 2:16, Live as people who are free not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.

Opinion Column: Liz de Toro Let’s get back to the ABCs and 123s of Academics

Opinion: Senator Jarvis 'remember the Nation's brave fallen men and women'

It is our responsibility as citizens to remember the Nation's brave fallen men and women - whether they died on foreign lands in the heat of battle or after a lifetime in the uniform of our Army. Never forget the men and women who know all too much the cost of our freedom, for their service to this country is the greatest gift of all.

Ann's Column: Now hiring?

Since November, I have called three electricians. One is a no show, one told me I needed to get the vent rewired for LED, but he never got back to me. I have called and called and probably I did as he wished, I gave up. Will I have to pay big dollars for a total replacement, is it even possible to re wire, is it a matter of a little project when professional service experts go where the bigger dollars are or go to the steady, every day work on big projects in nearby towns. Is it a shortage of labor? Is it money? Or attitude?
