Don’t miss your chance to see 18th century presentations and hear the story of Boone’s Cave Park on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 from 10-3. Thanks to the support of Davidson County, the NC Daniel Boone Historic Trail is bringing this first living history event to the park where a piece of local history is being saved. The park is located at 3552 Boones Cave Rd., Lexington, NC 27295.

Event organizer, Lee Crook, explained that the purpose of the non profit is to tell the story of Daniel Boone’s presence in North Carolina and highlight places people can visit that are associated with Boone. “We want to share the important history of this site with visitors. Fall is a beautiful time of the year to explore the trails, see the cave and view the Yadkin River from the high bluff. There’s even a play ground for children. Come join us and enjoy a cup of warm cider.” The event is free.

Living history interpreters in period clothing will be talking about life in colonial times including black powder demonstrations. Boone Trail merchandise will be for sale. Learn more about the NC Daniel Boone Heritage Trail and how you can help us keep the history of Daniel Boone alive.
