Boone’s Cave Park will come alive with history on Saturday, November 1, 2025, as the NC Daniel Boone Historic Trail hosts its first-ever living history event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can experience 18th-century demonstrations and hear the story of the park’s ongoing preservation efforts, made possible through the support of Davidson County. The event will take place at 3552 Boones Cave Road, Lexington, NC, offering a chance to connect with local heritage where history is being brought back to life.

Recently, the museum hosted an exhibit titled "Davidson County, Full Steam Ahead!" which explored the profound impact of the railroad on local industry, agriculture, and manufacturing. Such exhibits aren't just displays; they are immersive experiences designed to foster a deep sense of place and ownership among residents. By making history relatable and interactive, Williams-Cole plays a key role in engaging the community in heritage preservation, transforming the old courthouse into a vibrant center for cultural exchange.
