Triad Carports and Metals Structures owner arrested on 19 counts of felonious activity

Press Release: In early 2025, Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division began a comprehensive fraud investigation involving Triad Carports and Metal Structures, Inc., d/b/a Triad Carports, 1961 East US Highway 64, Lexington, North Carolina. Through the investigation over 25 victims were identified to have been defrauded out of money for work that was never completed. The investigation revealed the total loss for these 25 victims was $278,142.00.

The Corporate president and majority stockholder, Jesse Allen Black of Trinity, North Carolina (age 52) was taking deposits of U.S Currency for buildings and structures that were never completed. On April 15, 2025, members of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office had executed a search warrant at Triad Carports, and Jesse Allen Black was arrested and charged with 25 counts of felonious obtaining property by false pretenses.

On May 22, 2025, Jesse Allen Black was arrested on an additional 19 counts of felonious obtaining property by false pretenses and two counts of felonious worthless checks after an additional investigation was completed by members of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. The 19 victims have reported Black had been taking deposits of U.S. Currency for buildings to be built by Triad Carports, and the work was never started or completed. This time, there were approximately $285,726.00 loss for these 19 victims from deposits given to Black. Black also had issued two checks totalling $47,140.00 to businesses, and there were insufficient funds in the account to pay these two businesses.

Black was placed into the Davidson County Jail with no bond, and a court date set for June 2, 2025. Black was already on pre-trial release from his arrest on April 15, 2025. The total loss for the 46 victims from Triad Carports and Jesse Allen Black, has totalled to $611,008.00.
