Davidson County Sheriff Makes Arrests for Fentanyl Trafficking
On August 28th, 2025, Detectives of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division stopped Christopher Brandon Yokeley for driving with a revoked driver’s license along Highway 29/70, Thomasville North Carolina. During the stop, Yokeley and the passenger, Bridgette Gallimore were found to be in possession of approximately 50 grams of fentanyl and an ounce of methamphetamine, along with several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Man Arrested for Crimes against children by multi-county task for, authorities ask for information
On August 29, 2025, a search warrant was executed by members of the Invictus Task Force, and, as a result, Christopher John Tuft was taken into custody and charged with (1) count of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
Arrest made in Denton church robberies
The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division joined resources with the members of the Denton Police Department for the investigation.
Triad Carports and Metals Structures owner arrested on 19 counts of felonious activity
On May 22, 2025, Jesse Allen Black was arrested on an additional 19 counts of felonious obtaining property by false pretenses and two counts of felonious worthless checks after an additional investigation was completed by members of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. The 19 victims have reported Black had been taking deposits of U.S. Currency for buildings to be built by Triad Carports, and the work was never started or completed. This time, there were approximately $285,726.00 loss for these 19 victims from deposits given to Black. Black also had issued two checks totalling $47,140.00 to businesses, and there were insufficient funds in the account to pay these two businesses.
Assault on a child leads to charges
On Thursday, April 3, 2025, Thomas Glenn Robinson, 66 years old was arrested and charged with one count of indecent liberties with a minor.
Deputy shot in altercation
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or the specific location of the shooting.
Search underway for armed and dangerous suspect in Davidson County

Sheriff's Office partners with VA police to make an arrest for human trafficking
On December 12, 2024, The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office assisted investigators with the Lynchburg Police Department in executing a search warrant at a residence in Thomasville.
