Celebrate Local Literary Talent at Friends of the Lexington Library Author Showcase

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Friends of the Lexington Library is inviting the community to celebrate local literary talent during a special author showcase on Saturday, May 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Bull City Ciderworks, 599 South Railroad Street, Lexington.

The free community event will feature local authors from Lexington and Davidson County in an afternoon filled with books, conversation and connection in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet authors, discover new works and support the growing literary community in the region.

Friends of the Lexington Library is currently accepting applications from local authors who would like to participate in the showcase. The deadline to apply is March 7. Authors interested in being featured may submit their applications by scanning the QR code on the event flyer.

“This event is about celebrating the voices and stories that come from right here in our community,” organizers said. “We are excited to create a space where readers and writers can connect.”

The showcase aims to highlight the depth of literary talent across Davidson County while offering residents an opportunity to engage directly with the authors behind the books.

The event is free and open to the public.
