The book festival is a gathering of readers and writers. The Lexington Book Festival will feature authors in panel discussions, as well as several storytimes for young readers.
In conjunction with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, the Davidson County Public Library is offering Reading with Ringling from now through February 2nd 2024.
Saturday, Aug. 19 is National Bookstore Romance Day. To celebrate, Pig City Books will be hosting a book signing with local author and Central Davidson alum, Taylor Wilson-West.

Parents who bring their children to visit the various library locations on the appropriate day will be able to participate in a meet and greet with a character from children’s literature.
Reach Out and Read integrates reading aloud into pediatric care, providing books and coaching that help every family make reading a part of their daily routine.
