At 4:30 p.m. on May 1st, the Lexington Police Department (LPD) officers responded to calls about multiple shots being fired repeatedly by a rifle in the area of E Third Street and Pine Street. Officers responded swiftly and a Shelter in Place was issued at 4:48 p.m. for the safety of residents in the area. It was determined that the shots were being fired from a residence on Pine Street.

A follow-up inspection in June 2024 found an error rate of 3% for three overcharges on a 100-item lot, resulting in the $405 fine. The store passed inspection in August 2024. The store paid the fine in March.
