Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Team Identifies Suspect in Larceny Investigation

Davidson County Sheriff’s Office T.R.A.C.E. Team Identifies Suspect in Larceny Investigation.

Davidson County, NC – On May 14, 2026, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Traffic & Criminal Enforcement Team initiated an investigation following a report of multiple stolen vehicles, lawn mowers, and other tools in the area of Lester Drive, Lexington. The investigation was conducted in collaboration with the Asheboro Police Department. Through joint efforts, investigators identified Dustin Cliett, 36 of High Point, as the suspect involved in the theft of the vehicles and property.

Dustin Cliett has been charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle and felony larceny. Cliett has not been located, and is wanted by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, and detectives are pursuing his apprehension.

Per North Carolina General Statute 15A-532, judicial officials determine for the release of persons in judicial proceedings. Bond amounts are not set by members of law enforcement. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
