On Monday, November 17, 2025, at approximately 2:07 p.m., LPD officers located a reported stolen vehicle being operated by two subjects and attempted to stop it. The driver of the stolen vehicle failed to stop and led officers on a pursuit.

15 year-old-shot in Southmont area, alleged shooter attempted hospital transport
On April 27, 2022, the Davidson County 911 center received a report of a 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound being transported to the hospital by Ryan Joseph Peace. At the direction of the 911 operator Peace pulled over and meet with Davidson County EMS and law enforcement at Jersey Church Rd. and Hwy 8 just south of Lexington. The juvenile was found to have multiple wounds from what appeared to be pellets from a shotgun.
