Hospice of Davidson County (HODC) will host its 18th Annual Ride for Angels motorcycle fundraising event from Denton Farm Park on Saturday, July 19th with registration check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m. Early registration is now available at a discounted rate through July 18th with day of registration offered through 9:30 a.m. Pre-registration is not required but strongly encouraged.
Johnathan Trent Thomas, 27, of Linwood, North Carolina, appeared in federal court today on charges of making threats of violence against federal law enforcement officers, announced Russ Ferguson, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. Thomas was arrested Friday, May 16, and remains in custody pending a detention hearing.
To Flip The Script on Aging Senior Services feature of the month is set for Wednesday, May 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Hunter Family Amphitheater in Pace Park, Thomasville. The Democratic Women of Davidson County will host its annual fundraiser, the Bold and Blue, at the Finch House, 17 E. Main St, Thomasville, NC, on Thursday, May 22, from 6:00-9:00. This year's fundraiser theme is Defending Democracy.
At 4:30 p.m. on May 1st, the Lexington Police Department (LPD) officers responded to calls about multiple shots being fired repeatedly by a rifle in the area of E Third Street and Pine Street. Officers responded swiftly and a Shelter in Place was issued at 4:48 p.m. for the safety of residents in the area. It was determined that the shots were being fired from a residence on Pine Street.
