Standoff at home results in arrest for child abuse and fleeing

On August 11, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force for the United States Marshals Service attempted to serve arrest warrants at a residence, at 1689 Old US Highway 52, Lexington, North Carolina, in Davidson County, for Jonathan V. Garcia, date of birth November 17, 1994. The arrest warrants were for felony probation violation, felony flee to elude arrest, drive with a revoked license, misdemeanor child abuse and possession of stolen goods. These arrest warrants were out of Forsyth County

Two Arrested for Construction Site Thefts in Davidson County; Children Involved

During the month of July 2025, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports regarding the theft of building materials from residential construction sites, particularly those involving newly constructed homes. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division conducted an investigation, which led to the arrest of two suspects, Guillermo Trujillo Garcia and Kayla Danielle Hernandez.

Triad Carports and Metals Structures owner arrested on 19 counts of felonious activity

On May 22, 2025, Jesse Allen Black was arrested on an additional 19 counts of felonious obtaining property by false pretenses and two counts of felonious worthless checks after an additional investigation was completed by members of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. The 19 victims have reported Black had been taking deposits of U.S. Currency for buildings to be built by Triad Carports, and the work was never started or completed. This time, there were approximately $285,726.00 loss for these 19 victims from deposits given to Black. Black also had issued two checks totalling $47,140.00 to businesses, and there were insufficient funds in the account to pay these two businesses.
